Anyone have any suggestions of the best places to eat in Munich? And if possible good place to eat and best beer.....

jacque, If you have a "generous" budget for food, the Schwarz and Weiz restaurant in the Sofitel Munich (right beside the HBf) serves a fantastic meal, but of course it's on the "high end" of the price range. For more modest price levels, I'd recommend Opatija (I believe they have two locations in Munich). I found the food to be fantastic and I'll definitely be stopping there again on my next visit. The Opatija that I visited was on a side street off Marienplatz, but I can't remember the exact location. Happy travels!
