No, but I can feel your excitement all the way to Texas. Bet you have searched all the forums available, RS's, TA's and Frommers. If we had a trip report site we would all like to hear how it went.

Looks like the tour participants don't use this discussion board much, but there are survey responses under the Tours tab. I'll report back here in about 3 weeks. We are really excited about this tour, our first.

Jerry, you will have a fantastic time! I did this tour solo 2 years ago and loved it. In fact, 4 of us from that tour have now signed on for Sicily in May! I also found that there were no tour members who frequented this forum. On the tour I brought it up, and no one had ever heard of this board. Have a great time!

Jerry, On our previous RS tours I found that our tour mates also had not read the helpline. You just may be the most informed person on the tour! Who is your guide? just curious. We are taking the Villages & Vineyards of Eastern France tour starting Oct 3 and I'm ready to start packing! Have a Great trip, and let us all know how everything goes.

Our guide is Sarah Murdoch. Must be new as she is not on the list of guides on this website. I'm sure all their guides are good.

Sarah was our guide for the Rome city tour about 4 years ago. I think she's been on a break. Sarah lived in Rome for a time and is an expert. She's a great guide.

No, I have not been on the tour, but am sure you will have a wonderful time! I am considering this tour for next year myself. Can't wait to read about what you did and how you liked the tour. It seems that it is one of them most popular tours Rick Steves gives. You may have done this already, but I like to look at the tour members scapbook entries and they really give a lot of information, not just the great photos, but I read the text. Many give the names of the restaurants and what they ate and where the restaurants are located. They also share as to what they did in their free time. I also like to read the tour feed back and get lots of ideas that enable me to be more prepared for the tour. Both reading the feedback and the scrapbook entries really help me before a tour and help me decide on a tour. I have been on 9 tours and can't wait to go on another tour! Have a great time! Ann

Not on the same tour. But we are leaving Weds for the RS Venice-Florence-Rome tour. I know how excited you are, because I am too. We are going to Siena for 3 nights at the end of our tour. Have a wonderful trip

Eugenia: Do you have any plans for your Siena visit? I think we are going to play it by ear.

We are debating whether to rent a car to visit the hill towns or just go to the towns by bus. You have to park a rental car outside the city, which is a bit concerning. So basically, we are going to see when we get there. All of the hill towns sound interesting. Any in particular you are going to? We enjoy wine tasting.
