9-10 days in Italy from Munich

My husband and I have 9-10 days in Italy coming from Munich for our honeymoon in mid September. My husband would like to see Venice and potentially the Dolomites or some sort of mountain region. I would like to be on a beach at least a day or two. Any recommendations on an itinerary for a mid range budget? Thank you!

Are any flights purchased?
It might be too much for only nine days, but you could fly into Venice, stay a few days, pick a up a car and visit the Dolomites, and then finish up down near Ancona, where there are some nice beaches (this would work better if you can fly into Venice and out of Ancona).
Another option would be to explore the beaches near Venice, but they have never sounded like something to write home about frankly.
Let us know your flight options and how long you want to spend in each place--plus the distances you prefer to travel (like say, keep each drive no longer than three hours). There are lots of options--hopping over to Croatia (ferries from Venice) o, if you can fly out of Genoa, check out Liguria's coast.

There are no flights booked as of yet. We are actually flying into Munich(which is booked) and spending time with some family there but then would like a getaway for a honeymoon for 9-10 before heading back to Munich for a few more days of family time, then back home to Canada.

I fly through Munich just about every year on Lufthansa, so I know you have many options--I've flown to Ancona, Pisa, and Bari in recent years--good luck and congrats!
It's nice you don't have to worry about jet lag so you will have a bit more time.
Huge sea lover here, so feel free to run by more ideas as they are fleshed out.

We just got back from Italy and we drove from the south of Italy (Mater, Lecce) up the coast and then went into the Dolomites and ended in Venice. My suggestion would be to fly to Venice spend a few days there. You then can take a train down to Senegelli where we stayed for only 1 night but should maybe have taken 2. Beautiful beaches. We stayed at the Palace Hotel which is by the train station and the beach is across the cul de sac. then train to Bolzano (5 hrs. one change in Bologna)where you can get a bus up to Castelrotto. It is one of the most beautiful areas I have been in. We stayed there for 3 days and then took the local bus to the Alpe Suisi where you take a gondola up to the meadows. Spectacular. We drove up into the mountains and would not do it again. The Autostrada up to Bolzano is okay but when you get off that and start climbing into the mountain the roads are very narrow and it is true what they say about Italian drivers.
