We were thinking of going to Ischia for a few days and then on to the Amalfi next May. What is the best way from Naples to Ischia? Is there a ferry from there to the Amalfi?

Tom, Several years ago we took the hydrofoil from Naples to Ischia. Here are two websites - http://www.alilauro.it/
www.snav.it There are also ferries that will take you there as well. The ferries run a about a 1/2 hour earlier than the hydrofoil and take a little longer to get there. We are taking the ferry from Sorrento to Ischia in October. From Sorrento to Ischia, the ferry only runs once a day. Anne

I too am contemplating a trip from Sorrento to Ischia in late September. Once you are on Ischia, is it easy to get around the island? Bus service? I would want to check out the thermal spas while there. Thanks, Linda
