Italy trains

I have been looking on Trenitalia to try and book train fares for a trip to Italy this June. I have been trying to find mini fares and no matter what dates I put in, the prices are always the same. Would full fare prices still be a better value than a railpass with the mandatory reservation fees? Would it better to book them in advance on Trenitalia or could I book them upon arrival? I will need the following tickets. Round trip-Rome to Amalfi Coast One way-Rome to Florence, Florence to Venice, Venice to Rome
Thank you for your help!

A couple of potential problems. If going towards the end of June, the summer schedule is most likely not loaded. Second the mini fares could be gone but not likely. The mini shows up after you elect to purchase the ticket but prior to paying. So if only looking a fares you will not see the mini until you select your train and move forward with the purchase. Try that and then come back.

I do not see how a railpass would be cheaper. Railpasses to me were better when you wanted to go overnight and between countries. checkout italiarail.com
They might not be booking this far in advance

1) it is too early to find fares for June. Discounted fares are introduced in a rolling bases with 90-day anticipation 2) Trenitalia is in the middle of a major overhaul of its reservation system and website, so many routes are out of the system for these very days.

Been to Italy three times and I have never bought a railpass. The only reservation I have ever made was for an overnight sleeper train from Naples to Florence. Once my friend bought a railpass and I didn't and I saved money. I buy all my tickets while I am there within 1-3 days of travel. The first time I went there were no kiosks, but the last two trips the kiosks at the train station were wonderful for checking times, trains and prices. You can get assigned seats and print tickets at Kiosk. Even when I was in Florence for a month, I still just bought tickets weekly for travel to Orvietto, Lucca, Cinque Terre and Bologna. Weekend train travel is busy.
