Has anyone had any experience purchasing a sim card for an Ipad in Italy.
Not an IPad but a Samsung Galaxy Pad. We just went to a TIM store and asked for the best deal for our needs and they sorted us out. Deals change all the time so look at the websites for the latest. We have dealt with Vodaphone, TIM, Wind and "3" over the years.
Thanks Linda
I have looked at all 4 sites and find it difficult to know what kind of expense to expect.
Barry, Is it imperative that you have wireless access while "on the go"? You could still use the iPad on Wi-Fi at the Hotel, and therefore wouldn't need a SIM card. Good luck and happy travels!
Have to confess that both of us are not techies, and despite it being only last November, we can't remember what the plan was and what we paid!!!. However, we do remember that it was cheap so the fact that it was for a month rather than the two weeks we needed was not an isssue. We do not download lots of stuff, just used it for looking up things. We are back in Sorrento in a fortnight so if you can wait will be able to give you a bit more detail.
I was planning on using the Ipad for navigation, I also understand Wi-Fi is not readily available in the hill towns of Tuscany. We are not leaving until mid April so information after your visit would be great. Thanks to both of you.
