Plug Adapters

We are renting a farh house near Siena next month. We have been told the house has two and 3 prong outlets. Not sure what we need to bring when it comes to plug adapters. We have the two prong we used in Paris. Can we use it in Italy?

The whole issue of adapters in Italy is way more complicated than you might think. We stayed in one apartment in Rome that required three different types of adapters, depending on which outlet you were trying to plug into. For example, did you know that there are different gauges of two-prong adapters, and you might need both? The excellent Ron in Rome does a great job laying it all out for you: Power Options in Italy

John, I'd suggest packing along a couple of the two-pin Euro Plug Adapters (always good to have a spare in case one gets misplaced). If any of your travel gadgets use grounded plugs, I'd suggest one of the three-pin models as well. Based on the information on Ron's website, you may need either/both of these: www.magellans.com/store/Adaptors___Converters___Plug_AdaptorsEA23MIG www.magellans.com/store/Adaptors___Converters___Plug_AdaptorsEA23MDG Happy travels!
