72 hour pass to Accademia, Bargello and Medici Chapels in Florence. Timing question

We'd like to see all 3 of these museums, so we are considering the 72 hour pass offered on the official website. It looks like you select a timed entrance for the Accademia, but I don't see an option for a timed entrance to the other locations included in the pass. Do I need a timed entrance in October for the Bargello and Medici Chapels? Has anyone used this pass?

Thank you.

Hi Mary -
The b-ticket website states:
https://webshop.b-ticket.com/webshop/webticket/timeslot

"The 72-Hour Cumulative Pass allows admission to the Galleria dell’Accademia and the Bargello Museums (Museo del Bargello, Medici Chapels, Palazzo Davanzati, and Orsanmichele) under a single ticket. Visitors may enter the Bargello Museums on the same day as their visit to the Galleria dell’Accademia and up to the following 72 hours. The date and time slot selected at the time of purchase correspond to the entrance time for the visit to the Galleria dell’Accademia."

So you only have to pre-reserve an entry time for the Accademia at the time you buy the pass, and can visit the others on just a walk-up basis within 72 hours after that entry: no timed-entry reservation needed for them. Make sense?

Given the individual pricing (listed in this page from The Florentine and which reportedly have seen increases this year) this is a good buy: 38 euro for what would otherwise total 61 euro if bought separately, not including ticket reservation fees. As you have 3 days, I'd really try to see the Orsanmichele Complex and Palazzo Davanzati Museum as well!

Thanks Kate! That's how I was reading it, too. It looks like a great deal.

You're welcome! Have a great time in Florence: sooooo much fabulous art and architecture to explore!
If you have time, take a stroll through lovely-and-architecturally-important Piazza Santissima Annunziata and stop into at least the entry cloister of the church of the same name (free) to admire the interesting frescoes.

Museo di San Marco is also very nearby and WELL worth a visit (entry fee).

Lots more.... LOL, so many treasures; so little time!

https://www.galleriaaccademiafirenze.it/en/news/combined-tickets-and-new-opening-hours-for-all-museums-of-galleria-dellaccademia-di-firenze-e-musei-del-bargello/

According to this website (above: one of the 'official' versions) the Accademia and Bargello group of museums were consolidated back in March, thus the ability to offer a couple of combined tickets + standardizing their opening visiting hours/days. While practically all Italian State museums (not civic or private types) are closed on Mondays, those in the current Bargello group previously had individual, wonky visiting days/hours, making pre-planning visits a bit of a hairball!

To get a look at that previous mess? The Bargello's closure days/hours were 1st, 3rd and 5th Sunday and 2nd and 4th Monday, monthly; January 1st, May 1st and December 25th, open only from 8:15-13:50, daily.

The Medici Chapels were closed 1st and last Monday, monthly; January 1st, May 1st, December 25th, and open hours 8:15 – 16:15 (November - February), 8:15 – 17:15 (March), 8:15 – 18:15 (April, May, September, October - before daylight savings time) 8:15 – 17:15 (October - after daylight savings time) 8:15 – 18:30 (June - August).

The other 3 had their own hours/closure days! So yay for Florence for making it easier to figure out some wheres and whens even if it restricts what to see on Mondays a bit more (Monday is a good day to hit some fabulous Florentine churches, the duomo's complex, Palazzo Vecchio, etc. or maybe take a day trip.)
