I really don't feel like charging around like a crazy woman with my group. We have never been and will be based out of an agriturismo outside of Montepulciano Sat-Sat. south of France was easy to plan but this just appears harder for me...thinking 1 day in Sienna, 1 day in Florence(know it is not enough, could do 2), 1 day Montepulciano alone or with Pienza and Montalcino?, 1 day through Chianti and wines, and then? More than museums and galleries, we want to experience Tuscany and not rush through it. Advice greatly appreciated.

Your plan sounds very reasonable. Here's the itinerary I would suggest. Day 1: Siena Day 2: Montepulciano-Pienza-Montichiello-Montepulciano Day 3: Montepulciano-San Quirico D'Orcia-Montalcino-Montepulciano Day 4: Montepulciano-Radda-Castellina-Montepulciano Day 5: Montepulciano-La Foce gardens. Drop the car in Chiusi. Train to Florence. Day 6: Florence Day 7: Florence Other ideas: Montepulciano-San Gimignano-Volterra Montepulciano-Cortona-Arezzo Montepulciano-Assisi
Montepulciano-Orvieto Montepulciano-Perugia
