We will be driving from Pisa to Florence via the strada grande comunicazione Firenze Pisa Livorno highway and would like to park just outside of Florence and take a train or bus into Florence to visit the Accademia. Any suggestions on where to park and catch a train or bus?
After our visit we will be driving through Tuscany to stay in Greve in Chianti.

Look at your map, pick out a likely small town just outside of Florence and hop on a bus. Commuter buses dump you off next to the train station/bus terminal. The local gas station can direct you to the bus stop and give you a bus number to look for. Usually there is an associated parking lot near the town's main bus stop. Figure out how to write out "bus Freinze?" Or, take the commuter train. Again, find a small town just outside Florence and find the train station. Google the town for either option and bring the printout with you.
