6 minute transfer in Chiusi long enough? & Rome - taxi

Hi. We are thinking about taking the train from Rome to Siena but it stops for a transfer in Chiusi for only 6 minutes. I know Chiusi's train station is not large but does anyone have any experience with such a short transfer here? We are worried that if our train is late we'd miss the connection and do not want to have to wait for a different train.

On the other hand, we are contemplating taking the bus instead since the route is more direct, the time difference is minimal, and the cost is comparable (when added with the cost of a taxi). Our main concern here is taking the taxi from the taxi stand nearest our hotel (we are staying at Gulliver's Lodge) to the bus station. Has anyone had any problems with the taxis and/or, if you've done this route, any idea what a taxi costs (do they add for luggage)? My husband is also worried that a taxi won't fit our family of 4 plus our carry-on size luggage (typical medium suitcases). I don't think that will be a problem but....

Thanks!

If the train is on time (and trains generally are, in spite of Mussolini being long gone), 6 minutes are sufficient. Also it’s probably arriving on the same platform.

However the bus to Siena is probably a more comfortable choice (no loading and unloading luggage, and no changes), therefore you should consider that option.
