While the rest of my family goes to the Ferrari and Lamborghini museums I will have about six hours to sightsee. Not sure which city would be the best to go to. Suggestions?

Where will you be while your family tours the factories? The Ferrari factory is in Maranello, south of Modena, while the Lamborghini factory is in Sant'Agata, between Modena and Bologna. If they leave you in Bologna, visit Bologna, if they leave you in Modena, visit Modena. Bologna has more to see, but for a short few hours, Modena can fill your time too. It's a pretty town with a nice historical center. Piazza Grande is beautiful and you can visit the cathedral. You can have some cherries or balsamic vinegar too, those are their specialties in Modena.
