Hi! My home country only issues cards with 6 digit pins. Read that ATMs in Italy only use 4-digit PIN, will like to know if that's correct. If only 4-digit PINs are allowed, is there any way I can use my ATM card in Italy? Thanks!

I just returned from Italy with a friend who used her card with a 6 digit pin. No problems at the ATM or buying train tickets at the automatic machines.

Most Italian ATM cards, including mine and my mother's, have 5 digit PINs.
My American ATM cards have 4 digit PINs.
All of the above work in Italy, therefore I see no reason why a 6 digit PIN should not work.
