taxi fare

If no one here is able to give you the taxi fare, you might want to post the same question on the Orvieto forum of Tripadvisors.com forum, to see if a local can give you that info. As you probably know, there are also public buses. The distance is approx 15 miles and 30 minutes.

jim, I'm not sure what the cost for a Taxi would be, but Kent's suggestion will be your best source of information. ¶ While the distance is fairly short, as I recall the Bus ride from Orvieto to Bagnoregio was about an hour. You'll also have to determine if the small Shuttle from Bagnoregio to the base of the bridge at Civita will be operating on a Sunday. ¶ One important tip, based on my own "memorable" experiences. Be sure you plan the return visit carefully! The operating times of the Shuttle have been reduced somewhat due to budget reasons, so you'll want to make sure you'll be able to get back as well. Were you planning on using a Taxi from Bagnoregio back to Orvieto? It would be a good idea to research and pre-arrange that as well, given that you'll be travelling on a Sunday.
