Oprah's favorite, according to an article in her magazine is "Access Italy". They aren't cheap, but she says they are the best.

I'd highly recommend Francesca Caruso. She's incredibly knowledgeable and a wonderful Guide. She's listed in the Guidebook but if you need contact details, post another note.
You could also consider www.roninrome.com I haven't taken his tours yet, but he's had excellent reviews from those who have.

Ron in Rome is no longer in italy. Try Daniella Hunt ([email protected] or Mirabilla Urbis Tours), Sonia Tavoletta ([email protected]), or Tosca Perotti (www.walksinsiderome.com or [email protected]). They are all well repected as being excellent tour guides and have a loyal following.
