Im back and it was a great trip.My children enjoyed every aspect of it.Train travel was great and although Im a car person at heart in Italy other then Tuscany a car is not necessary.Buying tickets at a machine was very easy thanks to Roninromes website and Id suggest anyone thinking about train travel read what Ron has to say.Our favorite Restaurants were in Rome,Miscellanea near the Pantheon(they moved),In Vernazza,ll Pirata dell Cinque Terre. The brothers serve outstanding food along with humor. In Florence Trattoria Sabatino, while a 20 minute walk from the Ponte Vecchio was also outstanding. My 5 adult children and my wife and I all packed between 11-17 pounds and had no problems carrying our bags.In fact my daughter who usually takes the kitchen sink along said she was happy she packed light. Thanks again to everyone for the help I received. My 50th was a outstanding success. jack in wisc.

Jack, way to go with the children. We absolutely enjoy spending our children's inheritance on trips where they come along and mom and dad pay for it. The grandson is now coming along. Great learning experiences for the children. We'll be in Yellowstone and Jackson Hole in 3 weeks for 10 days. All of the children and the grandson will be there. Nothing beats it.
