What is the weather like in Como and Tuscany and Venice in the first two weeks of April? We were hoping to avoid the crowds by going in that month.
I generally travel to Italy in late March early April each year and have always been lucky with the weather. Clear sunny days with cool nights. I was in Venice in March this year and it was lovely although the day after I left the temperature dropped and it rained. Take layers so you can rug up or strip off. It will be more inconsistent than later in the year. Bonus is that you will avoid the crowds - we found it easy to get into the museums and galleries in Florence and Venice although we did prebook the Uffizi. The others just had short queues. I think it's a great time to go.
