My wife and I are planning a trip this summer from June 20-July 3. We are leaving the states on June 20 and landing in Paris on June 21 in the am. We want to spend at least 3 days in Paris, make our way to venice, cinque terra, the amalfi coast in any order but end in rome and spend at least three days there. Our flight leaves Rome on the 3rd in the morning. Can anyone recommend the best itinerary for these places? Also any advice on taking trains to and from these cities? Thank you so much!!!
You can take a night train from Paris to Venice if you like. You could do that after 2 nights in Paris and you would have your full 3 days there.
That leaves you 9 nights for Italy.
From Venice to Cinque Terre is a minimum of 5.5 hours, and most routes take 6 or more, so you spend most of a day on the train that day.
With only 12 nights total, you will have mostly 2-night stops. You might think about dropping one destination so you are not moving around so much.
