We are 5 adults traveling and need 3 bedrooms for accommodations in the heart of Rome. We will have no car and want to be able to walk to nearby sights. Any suggestions or websites?

Brenda, if you stay close to one site in Rome, like the Pantheon, you may be more than twenty minutes walking distance away from another. Check out the Hotel Artemide. They are within walking distance of everything except the Vatican. However, they are so close to the train station that you can hop right on a train and be whisked away in no time to Vatican City. The prices are reasonable, the rooms are large, and they take great care of you. Happy Travels!

With your large party I would try www.vrbo.com. Also hotel campo de fiori has an apartment, www.hotelcampdifiori.com.

The most central parts of Rome are the pantheon, navona and trevi areas. You can check venere.com for hotels in these areas. You will be within a 20 minute walk to the colosseum and the vatican. Most of the other main sites will be closer.

We are staying at www.residenzagiubbonari.com this spring. The apartments are near Campo dei Fiori and Piazza Navona - very central. They have both 2 bedroom (plus sleeper couch) apartments, and 3 bedrooms and have very good reviews. Good luck!

We stayed at Hotel Smeraldo which is very close to Campo di Fiore and we easily walked to most of the sights.
