4 nights Positano

We will be heading to Positano after 3 nights in Florence and 3 night in Rome. We have a scheduled private boat tour going to Capi and around Almafi Coast one of the days. Does anyone have other recommendations for things to do in Positano? Would also love some restaurant recommendations for nights in Positano. We will make a reservation at one of the restaurants in our hotel, Le Agavi, but want to venture out into the town other nights.

Dinner at Bar Bruno, sit outside next to the rail, be sure to make reservations. Seating is limited.

Before dinners, you MUST go to Franco’s Bar for cocktails. It’s just down the street from Bar Bruno and very trendy. Seating is also limited, so go as soon as it opens in the evening. It fills us fast.. You won’t want to leave. It’s owned by the The Sirenuse Hotel. We went every evening, it’s very special.

There’s actually not much to do at night in Positano other than dine and walk around the shops.. I believe there is one club, but we didn’t go. It’s called Music on the Rocks.

During the day the afternoons, we headed to the beach, it just feels so wonderfully European! Don’t forget to bring beach shoes. The pebble’s hurt. My DH thought I was crazy to buy him a pair, but he was thankful I did.

We were in Positano for a week and one afternoon had a scheduled tour to Pompeii. We picked up the brochure at the visitor center in town and just contacted the provider. The van picked us up at the top of the steps from our flat and we drove with a group of about 8 to Pompeii where we were met by our guide and spent about four hours and then we were delivered back to Pompeii. It was easy, reasonable and very stress free.
