I have 4 nights following a week at the Tuscan coast. 5 Travelers- three "kids' in their early 30's". Departing from Rome if flying. ANy thoughts? We did Switzerland last year. Thinking Paris & London 2 nights each? Possibly Austria? HELP!
If you are departing from FCO why would you leave Rome? With only 4 days you basically would use 1 or 2 just getting from place to place. So if flying from FCO stay in Rome there is a ton to see and do. If you can depart from Paris or London and you really want to leave Italy then go to the one you’ll be departing from and spend your time there. Trying to see both cities in 4 days means giving both way too short of a time.
Trying to fit in 2 cities in 4 days will be hectic especially with three kids, stick with one city let's say Paris for 4 nights.
If I'm reading you right, you fly out of Rome for home. Is that correct? Have you seen Rome before? Will you be there before you go to the Tuscan coast? If not, spend your time in Rome.
As much as I love London and Paris, I wouldn't try to make either or both a 3 day (4 night) side trip.
Switzerland and then look into flying out of Zurich
We need to know more about the thinking behind this trip. You may have some extremely valid reason for doing this, but I can think of dozens of places I'd rather just spend those four nights before departing from Rome, including Rome itself, but also the many wonderful inland Tuscan options.
With only a week in Italy add the four days there!
