4 days in Tuscany & staying in Sienna

My wife and I are staying in Sienna in 5/12-5/15 with a car. Does anyone have their top ten things to do in Tuscany including parks/hiking,etc.? Please advise and thanks, Ross

Hi Mark, We are going to Tuscany the last week of April. I am going to split 2 nights at Badia a Coltibuono and then 2 nights in Siena. Where are you staying in Siena? I have been to tuscany before and I loved the chianti region and the black rooster trail. Are you into wineries? Grebe, montalcino, castelina and pienza are all wonderful hill towns. Siena is full of history and shopping. Are you planning to go to Florence at all. That would be a great day trip for you. Have fun!

Pack a wonderful picnic lunch and just take off driving until you find a wonderful little spot for a picnic... possibly a field of flowers or just one of those wonderful hills with a view of the countryside... I have found the most memorable and interesting places when I have no plan and no expectations... something wonderful always appears...it's Italy!

Take a tour with Tours by Roberto, a R.S. recommendation. We had a great day with him! Also like Monteriggioni and Volterra a lot. Great day trip to combine these two. There's a great guide to hiking called "Walking and Eating in Tuscany and Umbria" that you might check out.
