Wife and I with adult daughter have apt near Piazza di Spagna for 5 nights in Rome, Feb 22-27. Any insights on private tour guides for Friday or Saturday for Vatican and maybe old Rome? Or other private tours that can maximize our time. We love to walk and explore and are interested in the obvious first timer stuff. Also considering Segway tour- anyone ever done? We are aware many attractions are closed Sundays. Also looking for a spot near apt for Sunday Mass.

We are going to be in Rome next month as well and I am using Italian Days for a Countryside of Rome tour. I have also heard from many people that Walks of Italy is a great tour company to use.

Walks of Italy is excellent - we used them for the Forum and the Vatican when we brought friends with us to Rome for their first visit. The groups are small and engaging with great insight and stories.

We went to Mass in the Pantheon - what a wonderful experience in this ancient building.
