Hey all. Obligatory itinerary post, and I'm having trouble admittedly filling the days for CT, which might be a good thing as our other days (Rome, Florence, Bologna, Venice) are all full of sights and museums. So far:
Day 1
- Get in to Airbnb at Riomaggiore around 2:30p
- Hike to Santuario di nostra signora di montenero up the hill
- Get wine/dinner in town
- See Castello di Riomaggiore
Day 2
- Hike Blue Path up to Montessaro (8a-4p)
(My understanding is part of this is "closed" but we can still make it to the end? Can anyone confirm?)
- Wine in Montessaro
- Dinner in Montessaro/train back to Riomaggiore and dinner there
Day 3
- OPEN DAY
Day 4
- Wine Tasting at Terra di Bargon in Riomaggiore (4p-7p)
- Last Dinner, probably stay in Riomaggiore unless "must try" restaurant nearby
Are there must do/see activities we should do on Day 3? We are an extremely active couple and are actually traveling from Hawaii, so beaches aren't exactly high on our list, but enjoying the water is still certainly on there! We're fine to do some cliff jumping or other hikes that are recommended. We're buying the three day train pass (this includes the Blue Path trail, correct?) so no worries about multiple trips going to and from different villages.
Thank you!
