4 am water taxi from Venice to Marco Polo

We understand the vaporetti do not operate this early, and we must hire a private water taxi. It's a flat fee for up to 4 people, and we are just 2. Anyone know how we could find 2 others who would likely like to split the fee?
Also - - have many found a "fog" issue in the early morning hours? Our flight is @ 6:30 am. Thanks -

Mary, your situation is not uncommon. The private water taxi is a very common solution to get to the airport. Normal fare is about 100Euro for up to 8 people with luggage. Fog isn't usually a problem. But, there are alternatives. First, the first airport bus (ACTV) from the Piazzale Roma departs are 4:35am. The second bus (ATVO) departs at 5:00am. The bus trip takes about 25 minutes. Fare is about 7Euro. Marco Polo is not a large airport so you will be there in time for check in. Next, the normal daily No 1 vaporetto does depart Lido at 4:16 but it arrives at the Piazzale Roma at 5:16. This is after the first two buses depart. But, you can take a taxi to the airport. Next, there is a night vaporetto. Its the "N" vaporetto. It comes through the Grand Canal about 3:30 or so. But, it doesn't stop at all stops. Thus, we need to know where you are staying and what your closest vaporetto stop is. If we have a good match on the stops, you can get to the Piazzale Roma in time for the first airport bus. Next, there is the Alilaguna Linea Blu boat that also comes through the Grand Canal and stops at San Marco at 3:40 and San Zaccaria at 3:44. It arrives at the airport at 5:00am. Finally, there is a Courtyard by Mariott and the Titian Inn right at the airport if you feel you must spend your last night at the airport. Please let us know where you are staying. There may be options and alternatives.

If your flight out of Venice is taking you to another European destination, you don't need to get to the airport much before 5:30. This is even more true if you're just doing carry-on, which as a savvy traveler is all you're taking, right? :-)

This is a duplicate post. There are additional answers on the other thread over in Transportation.
