Hi , We'll arrive Rome on Saturday morning. We would still have half a day on Saturday . We would like to see the Pope give his blessings from his window, not sure if we could attend a mass. Among the sites we would love to see are Vatican, St. peter's, Colesseum, Forum. We will be staying in Navona area.
Thanks!
With 4.5 days you should not have a problem seeing the sites you have listed. You may want to book tickets to the vatican museums if you plan on seeing them. Remember, the vatican museums are closed on Sundays with the exception of the last Sunday of the month. You might also want to check out the romapass. It will allow you to bypass the lines at the colosseum and give you free entry to the first 2 sites covered by the pass. You can get a list of the sites covered at the romapass website. Remember most museums are closed on Mondays. You'll easily be able to walk to all the sites you have listed. Donna

Rick Steves' Rome Guide has a good sample itinerary to help you plan your days. You have a marvelous amount of time, so you don't have to run from museum to museum, church to church. You can see some lesser known areas, relax and enjoy. If you like to walk, I recommend the book "24 Great Walks in Rome," which lays out some self-guided tours. There are some areas where a guide is nice, though. The Vatican Museums, Colosseum/Palatine Hill/Forum. You might consider booking a private guide or a tour for those in particular. Have a great trip!
