Hot chocolate

In anticipation of my upcoming trip, and with the expectation of some wintry weather, I am soliticing recommendations for the best hot chocolate in Venice, Ravenna, Florence and Rome.

And an etiquette query: It is too gauche to drink hot chocolate and eat gelato simultaneously?

was in Florence back in February and had some hot chocolate from here http://www.rivoire.it/ yummy!

(or gnam gnam in Italy) got it to go...pay a lot more to sit down I believe...

Venice- I bought some chocolate here http://www.viziovirtu.com/en/index.htm It was September so I didn't get any hot chocolate.

It's your vacation/holiday- eat whatever you want when you want! nice thing with gelato when it is colder...doesn't melt so fast!

There are so many places that make yummy hot chocolate in Rome... it is only a matter of choosing. I would normally watch while someone else orders, and if you can see that it is so thick that the spoon practically stands up on its own inside the hot chocolate, you've got a winner!
