Hello, has anyone stayed at a good hotel very close to the main Rome airport (Leonardo da Vinci, Fiumicino)? We are arriving pretty late and jsut want to stay there before taking the train out the next day. Thanks!
Tara I asked the same question a few days ago and someone gave me this helpful link

good luck!!
We stayed at the Rome airport Hilton last year following a cruise. They promised a free bus into the city, so that seemed like a good deal. It would have been, but there was a huge demonstration so they only could bus us to a suburban train station (not the hotel's fault obviously). Room was nice, but the restaurant was horribly expensive, and despite being on the grounds of the airport, you really needed to take a cab to internatonal departures (no bus from Hilton provided). So mixed bag. Convenient but pricey. There may be other options though.
We are just back from Italy. There is a Hilton at the airport which you can walk to. Last trip we took the train from Rome city center to the airport and walked. Its very easy. There is a Marriott and Sheraton but they are quite far.
Thank you all for the advice.
