Alfred, check out this website www.cross-pollinate.com It is a bed and breakfast and apartment booking service for Rome, Venice and Florence. You did not say what city or cities you are looking for B&B's in???? Anyway this website will give you many B&B's to choose from. The site is owned and operated by an American family living in Rome. I have used them many times and they are great to work with and the prices are reasonable. Rick Steves also recommends them in his book on Italy. Happy travels and good luck!!!
