My husband and I are planning a trip to Sorrento. I would like to do an Amalfi Coast tour. I am a little hesitant because of the extreme ride. Would you suggest going with the Monetti tour taxi or bus tour?I do have a fear of edges. Also going in mid october, will the crowds be less and weather still good? Any day of the week better to book tour?

The edge can be scary espec. on a bus. you might feel better in a tour taxi. make sure you sit on inside row. my friend felt uneasy in the bus so she sat on inside. You may consider a ferry ride from Sorrento to Positano or amalfi as an alternate. mid wk always better for bus.
the coastline is terrific.

The Monettis are fabulous! We spent about 10 hours with Tony, the son-in-law, summer 2008, touring the Amalfi coast and all the way on to Paestum for the ancient Greek Ruins. The cost is the cost--expensive--but the friendly, attentive guide, the lack of stress in between sights (Positano, Amalfi Town, Ravello, Paestum), the time with a local resident, and the memories...well worth it. A day we'll never forget.
