I've been browsing this site for almost a year now--thank you to everyone who has asked and answered so many questions. With your help, I've been able to make my plans for my trip of a lifetime. I'll fly into Zurich and hang out for 3 days. Then, the train into Venice (already booked) where I'm taking a glass class on Murano for 9 days, I make glass buttons. Then train to Florence (get tickets I get there) for 5 days. I have reservations for the Uffizi and the Accademia, and will see where the wind blows me for the other sites. Then train to Rome (get tickets when I get there) for 5 days. Reserved a tour with Angel Tours for the Vatican Museum in the afternoon on a Tuesday and will get others when I get there.
I would like to attempt to find a fabric shop that might want to carry my buttons in their store. I've been researching fabric shops to visit in each location, and haven't been very successful. Anyone out there know of any shops I might check out?
