How long does it typically take to do the Vatican tour. When I say tour, I am talking about a self-guided tour of the Vatican, including the Sisteen Chapel, Vatican Museum and St. Peter's Basilica including climbing the dome.
Also, does anyone know of a reasonably priced hotel (under 100 euros) that is walking distance to the Vatican?
We used Artviva.com for a tour of the Vatican and it took about 4 hours for all three places. We didn't climb the dome but add on maybe an additional 30 minutes?

We did the tour through the Vatican and it was approx. 3 hours. However we didn't climb the dome (there was a long line so we decided not to). We did however after the tour go back through to see the Egyptian Museum which the tour did not go through. I thought this was interesting but added probably another hour to our time spent there.
In regards to a place to stay, we stayed at Le Finestre sul Vaticano B&B (www.romabandb.it) which is in walking distance of the vatican. It was only 90EUR a night and included breakfast. The owners were very friendly and always willing to give advice on places to see. I would recommend going there. Plus it's only a few blocks from the subway so it's really easy to get to other areas of Rome.
