I am wondering if there is any way to get tickets to a football match in Rome. Specifically the May 6th game.

If your are referring to the Lazio vs Livoro match, you should be able to buy tickets at the stadium on the day of the match; its unlikely to sell-out.
But if you want to buy tickets in advance you can try this UK based ticket broker:

This sounds great! We will be in Rome that day, but leaving that night. Do you have information on what time the match is?

They haven't listed the start time yet. It could start as early as 1pm or as late as 7pm. But, it turns out that you can now get tickets in advance via the web. Check out this site: http://www.listicket.it/?lang=EN&S=
They May 6 match isn't listed yet, but should be soon.

so you think the tickets will be available on that site at sometime?
and I wonder if it really would be a hard ticket to get if we waited until that day.

That web site is the official web ticket seller for Lazier and a lot of other teams in Italy. Although you should be able to buy tickets at the stadium; the site is in English therefore a lot easier. The soccernet site just says ESPN is showing a match that day at 1pm, it doesn't specify which match. In Italy, is not uncommon for the match time to be listed so late. That's the way they do things over there :)
