We have just had a change in plans and we will be able to spend a few days in Venice around the middle of June. We are seniors and travelling by train to a condo in Nice. Can anyone recommend a hotel easy to get to with our bags near the train station? It would be nice to have a hotel with a web site so we can see what we are going to. We have had years of the unexpected and using Rick have been pleased but this time I would really like some recommendations. Thank you.

Hi Shari,
Try hotelarcadia.net. I have stayed there several times. It is close to the train station, rooms are clean, it is safe and staff is very nice.

We stayed at the Bellini which is a short, level walk from the train station. The hotel overlooks the Grand Canal and has an elevator in case that is needed. Everything is close by - restaurants, bank machines, shops, vaporetto stop, bridge across the Grand Canal, etc.
