We are taking our 2 adult married children and their spouses to Rome and are seeking an apartment with 3 "real" bedrooms that each sleep 2 adults (no futons or sofa beds) and at least 2 bathrooms with showers. We prefer not to be in the Vatican or Trastevere. We need the apartment for 7 nights, beginning Aug. 30. All recommendations are most welcome. Thank you.
Have you tried VRBO.com ??
Thank you, yes, I've been to vrbo.com, tripadvisor.com, and Googled "vacation apartment rome." Many of the apartments that claim to sleep 6 have only 2 bedrooms; one had a 3rd bedroom with bunk beds, which could work with children, but not for our group.
I'm hoping someone who's had a good rental experience may see my post and offer a suggestion.
Thank you again for your suggestion.
We booked our apartment thru www.guestinitaly.com. Haven't been there yet as our trip is in September but they have been very helpful and the price was very good. We worked with a gal named Sarah Martini and she has been wonderful! Check it out.................
You may be able to find 2 apartments in the same building to solve the problem.
Thank you, Norma and Janice. Appreciate your suggestions!
Palazzo Olivia apartments - you could rent more than 1 apartment in the same building.
SlowTrav has apartment rental reviews, and there are a couple 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment listed: http://www.slowtrav.com/italy/vr/list.asp?r=Rome
We rented an apartment near Campo de Fiori which is within walking distance to Patheon, Trevi, etc. The contact information is: Helen Yeh, www.comfortitalia.com. Ours was a 1 bedroom plus sofabed with 2 bathrooms, but she may have other units in the apartment.

Try this bed and breakfast association,www.b-b.rm.it/ they also have apartments, i booked one for september. I know that they have apartments that are next to each other, i am not sure if they have a 3 bedrooms and 2bath in one apartment tought. I have received very good service from them so far, prompt answers, very helpful too, there is no security deposit and the cleaning fee is included in the price.
hope this helps!
I found a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment in Rome I have booked for October 2009. It has 2 rooms with Queen beds and 1 room with two twins that should be able to be pushed together. I found it on VRBO. The link is below. The apartment is also listed on the Context Travel site. I actually was directed to book the apartment through the Context website. It looks great for my group of 6. Hopefully it is available during your time in Rome if you like it too.
