3 nights Lake Como

Three nights at Lake Como in September at start of trip. Not asking much. Like to sight see, take pictures and enjoy good food. Any suggestions?

We ended our 3 week trip through Italy in Lake Como. We stayed in Bellagio. We visited the mid lake towns by the ferry.

We rented the boat for 4 hours, they give you a map and can check out lake side villas. Do a tour of Villa del Balbianello. We cruise around the point where the Villa is when rented the boat. Such a beautiful place with beautiful views.

we had a decent dinner in Bellagio at the place under the white tent, not the place on the water.

Plenty of photo opps, walking around and exploring, you'll find a couple of old churches, very beautiful inside.

it is a very relaxing place, enjoy!

If you’re staying in Varenna, be sure to book a cooking class at Il Caminetto, in a nearby village. (Info in Rick’s book) They’ll pick you up and bring you back if you don’t have a car, and the cooking class will be one of your best meals and one of your best memories of your trip.

We stayed 5 nights in Bellagio in May and I'm happy with that decision. There are lots of restaurant choices, the town is charming (after the day trippers leave), and there are frequent ferries to pop you over to other towns, villas, etc. Enjoy your trip!
