3 days in Salerno

We are planning to stay in Salerno for 3 nights. We will arrive there from Florence around noon. Either spend that day exploring the area or visit Paestum. Day 2 : take a ferry to Amalfi from where take a bus to Bomerano. Hike the Path of Gods. (We are traveling with 2 children age 6 and 12. The younger one can hike about 8 miles.) Descend in Positano and the ferry back to Salerno.
Day 3 Take a train to Pompeii and hike Vesuvius. Come back to Salerno.Day 4 leave for Rome.

Is this feasible?

Thank you so much all of you. I will remove naples/amalfi from our plan. A day in CT, 2 days in Florence and 3 and 1/2 days in Rome.
Your feedback has helped me a lot.

You changed your plans?

Have you looked into Ostia Antica? Some prefer it (just outside of Rome) than to Pompeii as a day trip. Just putting it out there as a consideration.

As I've posted before, a Rome/Pompei/Rome daytrip is a good 12 hours worth to be done right, and that's if the logistics work correctly, which doesn't always happen in Italy. Hiking Vesuvius might be too much as an addition, but give it a go if you're up to it.
