3 Days, 2 nights in the Cortina d'ampezza area - want to stay in rifugios

A buddy and I are going to be heading to the Cortina d'ampezza area from Trieste (leaving Trieste early in the morning) to get to Cortina by 10 or 11am. We are looking at doing an afternoon hike to get to a rifugio for the night, then next day doing a long (10-15km) hike to the next rifugio and then circling back to where the car is parked on the third day. I am looking for some route options/rigugios to book.

We will be there in early July.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I haven't hiked or stayed in rifugios around Cortina but have stayed in quite a few of them in other areas of the Dolomites. I just hopped on to your question to give you one piece of advice to make your stay in the rifugios a little easier perhaps. If you join the Club Alpino Italiano then you will get a better price at the rifugios and they always have a few beds earmarked for members. You are going at a very busy time so will need to reserve in advance. If you are a member of the CAI it may help you get a place. Enjoy! Hut to hut hiking in the Dolomites is one of my favorite things to do.
