We are planning a 10 day trip in late March and would like some input from the experts out there. Here is our tenitive schedule Arrive in Venice Sat. March 26 until Mon. 3/28 Travel to Siena 3/28 Tues.- Possible day trip by bus to Florence Wed.- Rent a car for 3-4 days- day trip to San G. and Volterra Thurs.- Drive to Chianti. Wine tour at Castello de Verazzano Fri.- Drive to Montepulciano and Pienza Sat.- Travel to Rome Sun. & Mon. Rome Tues.- Fly Home This is our 2nd trip to Italy, the first for the other two couples. I know it is a quick trip and covering a lot of ground. The last time we were in Italy, we didn't get to Venice and want to visit this time. Our full day in Venice is going to be a Sunday, is this going to be a problem? I know it is a short time in Rome but we really love spending time in Tuscany. Any suggestions,especially for travel between destinations would be appreciated.

The way my post came up did not make it clear that we plan to base in Siena for the 5 days in Tuscany.

Stacie, A couple of things to consider. Wednesday is the big market day in Siena. Check the size of the car to hold six people. Check the open times for the return of the car.
