Train Reservation question

We will be travelling from Milan to Florence after flying into Milan on the same day. Knowing how late some international flights might be, should I NOT make train reservations? I have checked the train schedules and there is a train about every hour from Milan to Florence. I figure we can just show up and hope to get on the next train. Do you think this will be a problem? I figure it would be worse to make reservations and then miss them and try to straighten it all out. Any advice on this? Thanks so much.

The standard answer to this question, which is asked daily, is buy it when you get there. You could scroll back a few pages and find many postings on this subject. Italian rail is cheap and the only discount available is the Amica fares (20%) which have to be purchased 24 hours in advance -- IF AVAILABLE.

Thanks, Frank. I appreciate it. We'll just wait and get our tickets when we get there. Thanks.
