We will be in Naples, Rome and Pisa/Florence next week. Does anyone know if there are strikes going on w/ public transportation? We will be arriving by cruise ship and DO NOT want to book excursion w/ cruise line.

The transportation strike says buses and trams.
Does this mean the metro (underground) will be up and running? I sure hope so because I'll be still in Milan at that time. If they are also striking, at least my hotel is close enough to downtown, and maybe I can walk or take taxis. I'm glad the strike is only 24 hours!
I'm leaving for Italy this Thursday, and I'm so excited!!!

Funny, it's common for Italy to strike, but just today I found out there is a transportation strike in Austin Tx.!
I'm off to Italy tomorrow morning!! I'll post when I get back.
