Hi. We love Florence and you may want to consider staying there for at least 3-4 nights while in Tuscany. Great walkable city with wonderful art and food. One of my very favorite places. You do not want a car in Florence and can take day trips from there to limit moves.

Very nice itinerary. The only thing I would change is picking up the car in Florence, assuming that you don't plan to visit there. Instead, I would take the local train from Rome to Chiusi and rent the car there. It would be a much shorter drive to Pienza and you would avoid the traffic coming out of Florence.

The allocation of your time for the differents cities looks very good. But you might want to consider working in a couple of days in Florence. Perhaps a little less time in Rome? Just food for thought.

It's refreshing to see a first time visitor with a reasonable itinerary, well done.

Having said that, just a few suggestions; The Ponte Sisto is a marvelous ancient bridge, with great views of the Tiber, but chances are you will be utilizing it to get Trastevere from the Centro Storico. It's literally a block from the Jewish Ghetto and leads right into Trastevere.

I think you'd be remiss to not visit the Vatican while in Rome. It's a lovely 20 minute walk from Piazza Navona, and even if you don't want to go inside, Saint Peter's square alone is worth it.

Tuscany portion of your trip looks spot on, except I agree with previous reply on where to pick up your rental.

Enjoy your trip!

I look at all the car rentals in Chiusi, all the car rentals have less than 100 reviews. but everyone have a good reviews. I will probably contact all those car rentals over there. Thank you for the suggestion.

Ok I will search all the places that you mentioned and take a look at it. Thanks for your suggestion. I appreciate it.

Thanks for the suggestion. But I probably stick with my Itinerary. I'm a slow traveler. I don't want to rush my vacation/travel. I just want slow and smooth exploring the country that I'm going to visit.

You are going to Rome and not visiting St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel!!!

Don't miss them. The Sistine Chapel is the most amazing work of art that I have seen anywhere and St. Peter's is special.
