I read recently on a different forum that you are able to get Freccia train tickets on Saturdays 2 for 1. Does anyone know if that option is still available and if you can purchase tickets on a Saturday for a future date or do they have to be used same day? Thanks!

You can purchase up to two days in advance, but since they are limited in number you would do well to get them well ahead.

Other advance-discount rates can be equally cheap, but again with limited seats available. I would trust the web site or ticket machine to give you the best rates available when you're ready to commit to dates and times for the reserved trains.
