2 days in Venice Post Cruise

First time to Italy and finishing up a 10 day cruise in Venice. My wife & I will have 2 nights there before flying back to the states. Any recommendations for a romantic/great location hotel in the $500-$750 range? Would love to be right on the Canals. Thanks in advance for any tips/help!

YES - we go often and have stayed at many hotels and B&Bs. Our new favorite is Al Ponte Antico. They are on a canal, at the Rialto Bridge and the best thing is, they have their own dock which makes arriving and departing SO easy. No hauling luggage over stairs and bridges. It is from the 1500s, it only has 9 rooms, so book early. The owners are so nice, friendly, and helpful. The included breakfast is incredible with omelets and made in-house pastries and coffee. You can see photos and read reviews on TripAdvisor - but I recommend booking directly with the hotel - they are very responsive with room questions. We will always stay here. We have already rebooked for October.

Thanks so much for the information. I will reach out to the hotel. We will actually be there in October as well. Visiting from Tennessee!

We spent 4 lovely nights at www.palazzosanlorenzovenezia.com in October 2021. The upgrade to the Deluxe Canal View room was worth it, as our windows looked out onto what I consider one of the prettiest little canals in Venice. The room was very spacious and felt opulent, with a Murano glass chandelier (the website photos make the rooms look a bit dramatic, but ours had a quiet luxury vibe). It's located around the corner from Piazza San Marco, but also has easy access to the quieter Castello neighborhood and its cafes and restaurants. I'd stay there again next time I'm in Venice.
