2 bedroom AND 2 bath for 4 adults in Rome, Florence, and Monterosso (3 nights each)

Can we get an apartment with a small kitchen, shared living space
for 4 adults ( 2 bed/2 bath) if we only stay 3 nights in early October,
in Rome?
in Florence?
in Monterosso?
We won't be doing much cooking, but could have breakfast in,
drinks and snacks.

Even if it costs as much as two rooms,
wouldn't we gain a little living space?
Thanks for your suggestions!

I don't know any particulars, but you can definitely check airbnb.com or vrbo.com or any other apartment rental websites....

We're traveling to Rome and Florence in a few weeks, and we were able to find a lot of apartment rental options in both cities, even with 2 bed/2 bath. If you go to Airbnb.com, there are filters that allow you to search for apartments and homes with a minimum of 2 bedroom and 2 bathrooms. I found at least 20 when I was looking a few months ago, and we narrowed it down by neighborhood. We ended up reserving this apartment in Trastevere - haven't left yet so I don't know if it's any good, but we are excited about the location! - https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/2031202

We ended up reserving rooms at a B&B in Florence, but I did see a lot of 2 bed/2 bath apartments there on Airbnb. (We are staying at Pensione Bencista, a very historic family-run B&B in Fiesole on the outskirts of Florence. If you're stumped at finding an accommodation you like, you should check it out - my grandparents stayed there 50+ years ago and recently returned, and they said they loved it just as much as the first time.)

Yes, you will gain a little living space, and probably a kitchen, but MY rule is: unless I'm staying four nights, I won't stay in an apartment. It simply takes too long to check in and get all of the instructions for using the kitchen, a.c., heat, etc.., and if the electric isn't included, they come by and read the meter, etc., on the day you leave. Most three stars come with breakfast included, and usually have a lounge area.

Others will disagree with me, but that's the great thing about this forum.

In Florence, we stayed in VRBO 68776. Lovely two bed/two bath with a small garden in the back in Santa Croce area. We loved it (but we stayed 8 nights). Don't know if she'll do a 3 night rental, but you can check.

This is a good time to start checking options, locations, and prices. Location and convenience are pretty high priority, near sights, or train station, or public transportation or a taxi stand in Rome.
