Given 2.5 hours in Positano...what would YOU do?

Booked a day trip from Rome to Pompeii and Positano. End of May. Itinerary allows for 2.5 hr stop in Positano.

Any recommendations on how to make the most of that time?

right now, I'm leaning toward finding a quick bite to eat (where, any tips?) ...quickly browse a few shops...take the path to a beach Rick Steves recommends (the name of which I can't remember at the moment)...and snap photos along the way.

are there any quick boat tours? I've only seen longer tours which we won't have time for. thought it might be nice to get out on the water to view the coast and leave the crowds behind ...

Walk down to water, have glass of wine at Chez Black which is right on the beach, walk out to the pier for pictures, tour the church and you are done.

I would do what we did! We found a restaurant with tables that offered views of beach and sea.
Poked around a bit and were glad we weren’t staying there.

What Suki said. 2.5 hours seems like a long time unless you only have an interest in sitting around watching the world go by.

I just left Positano after staying for a few days. 2.5 hours is not a lot of time. Positano is not large, but it is very crowded. For the best views, find a restaurant at the top of where you are dropped off with a view, then walk down to the beach and browse at shops along the way. If you want the beach view, Chez Black is a good option. I am not a Limoncello fan, but they have a really good Limoncello Spritz. The food is a bit pricey, but you are paying for the view and the history.

I doubt in 2.5 hours you will have time for a boat tour.
