Anyone aware of BIG reasons NOT to tour Italy (Sicily to Dolomites and favs in between) April 2-17? Easter may be a hurdle but cheap airfare outweighs it. Agree? Thank you!

Shoulder seasons are my favorite times to travel. Easter won't be an issue.

Jack, this April will be my second trip at that time of the year. You will see poppies in the fields, there will be far less tourists and the weather won't be hot. I'd organise Easter accommodation soon though. Enjoy

People will be busy getting ready for Easter and some sighseeings might be closed.
You might get the same air fare a week after that.

It's a great time. Just be aware that Easter Monday (day after Easter) is also a holiday in Italy and there is no public transportation from the smaller towns.
