I am flying into Geneva and have three days to spend in Italy before I have to head back to Geneva. Anyone have any suggestions on places to stay, see, etc in the Northern part of Italy. Not really interested in museums and historical points of interest on such a short jaunt.
I would check out Venice, if you can. The city itself is such a work or art, you won't have to go into any museums, or even churches to see wonderful things....though you'll see more if you do.
Depending on the time of year and your mode of travel, I'd suggest a lake - Como, Orta or Maggiore - or Verona.
I did forget to say when I was going....mid June 2008. What do folks think about Cinque Terre?
