1st time in Rome & Need Help

I'm looking for recommendations for an affordable apartment in a central area in Rome, Campo dei fiori/near Pantheon/etc, for myself and my elder parents and aunt,

We're a party of 4, three in my party are over 70 with some limited mobility. So we're looking for recommendations for a 4 bed/2 bath apartment with easy access to central sites and transportation. We're not married to CDF.

Thank you for your recommendations in advance!

I'd look for a place that has good bus lines nearby. Campo dei Fiori often means a 10-minute walk to a bus stop, maybe with only one or two lines. Most metro stops require negotiating a flight of stairs. Or maybe Trastevere, with good tram service connecting to the rest of the city, and fairly level ground.

larlock! that apartment looks perfect! Sadly it's also very popular & booked up till December. :(

If anyone has any direct recommendations like larlock's that would be great.
Thank you for the info!

try vrbo.com and look specificially for Piazza Navona. Specifically look here: www.vrbo.com/8339180ha
only 1 bath but minimum stairs (2 or 3) to the elevator. The living room easily opens for extra sleepers. It's difficult to get more than that. I stayed the last few years in the apartment immediately below this so they're very similar. Couldn't ask for a better location. You would be maybe 2 blocks to buses and a very good taxi stand. Taxis in Rome are useful and affordable

Thank you Robert. That's a lovely location! Alas, they too are booked.
I'll keep taking all the suggestions I can get.
Thanks!

I'll add a link to Booking.com. You can put in how many people, limit to apartments and filter by a number of criteria. One tip: apartments don't have stars. The review score is the key. I only consider places with a score of 8 or higher.

princess pupule April 15-18, 2018.
This is a last minute trip for my parents (they're in their 70's) and we know it'll be hard to find something both suitable and affordable for them but we'll give it our best shot. My mother is ill and she wished to see her sister while she's somewhat able. And my father's sister in Galicia is very ill and he wished to see her and their homeland one last time.
Thanks for all the feedback!

Hey mj
Sent you a private message (PM), check your inbox. Also check flaminio butterfly house/apt, looks inviting and something for your “gang”. Big kudos to you doing this for mom, dad, aunty. When life gives us lemons have a glass of lemonicello. Are you flying within Europe or coming from USA?
Happy travels
Aloha

Thank you Princess Pupule! They're flying out of Miami > Madrid and heading straight to Galicia to spend time with my Father's sister 1st. Then hopping over to Pisa to meet with my Mother's sister. Then we'll head to Barcelona and I'll slowly road trip them around the coast of Spain back to Galicia. My Father's always wanted to see the rest of his native land.

Your suggestions have been so helpful! I'm looking into all of them and leaving no stone unturned. I feel confident that we'll be able to make this happen for them in a way that will best serve them and their wishes.

I'm so grateful for this forum and the RS familia.
