Day 6 - Take a early morning frecciarossa to Naples, tour Naples

Day 7 - Pompeii, sleep in Naples

Day 8 - Capri, sleep in Naples

Day 9 - Amalfi coast, sleep in Naples

Day 10 - Breakfast at Naples, then take frecciarossa to florence, tour venice

Day 11 - Pisa, sleep at Florence

Day 12 - Day 13 - Florence

Day 14 - Take early morning frecciarossa to Venice, tour Venice

Day 15- Day 16 - Venice

Day 17 - Take a frecciarossa to Rome, go to airport directly from there.

thanks!

Looks nice. Day 17 would make me a little nervous. What time is your flight? If it is an evening flight, you are probably fine, but keep your eyes and ears open about the possibility of a rail strike or an interruption of rail service. Then you might want to head to Rome the night before. The event of a strike is a very remote possibility, but they happen.

Sam, my outbound flight is at 7:30pm, I was planning to take the 6am train from venice.

Thanks for the heads up on the strike situation, will keep an eye out for it :)

Is it possible to go to Naples on your arrival day and save Rome for the end of your trip?

This avoids the long distance last day dash from Venice back to Rome for your departure flight.

Also, while your planned 6AM departure builds in some cushion, it makes for a really LONG day

6. Venice
7. Venice
8. Fly to Naples. Transfer to Sorrento (4N)
9. Day to Capri
10. Day to Pompeii
11. Day to Positano
12. Train via (stop in) Naples to Rome (5N)
13. Rome
14. Rome
15. Rome - St Peter's & Vatican

Day 4 - Take a early morning frecciarossa to Naples, tour Naples

Day 5 - Pompeii, sleep in Naples

Day 6 - Capri, sleep in Naples

Day 7 - Amalfi coast, sleep in Naples

Day 8 - Breakfast at Naples, then take frecciarossa to florence, tour venice

Day 9 - Pisa, sleep at Florence

Day 10 - Day 11 - Florence

Day 12 - Take early morning frecciarossa to Venice, tour Venice

Day 13- Day 14 - Venice

Day 15 - Take a early morning frecciarossa to Rome, sleep in Rome

Day 16 - Rome

Day 17 - Leave for airport in the evening.
thanks!
